The competitiveness of Indonesia’s frozen shrimp exports in international market

Abstract Shrimp is the first Indonesia’s leading fishery export commodity, above tuna, squid, crab, and seaweed. The categories of shrimp that are exported frozen shrimp, fresh processed where largest quantity for category shrimp. However, value growth still lower than its competitors. This study aims to analyze level competitiveness exports in Indonesia among competing countries international market. data used was secondary obtained from related agencies. analytical method Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA). changes competition 1 years, namely 2007 – 2021. results showed market on 2007-2021, has a strong competitiveness. Indonesian had trend tends decline within 11 years. Based analysis using RCA method, 2007-2021 period seen decrease until 2012 began increase 2013, while other countries, Argentina, Ecuador India, an Meanwhile, several such as Bangladesh, Belgium, Denmark, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam experienced well decreased.
